All installations by Cosy Stoves and Fireplaces are completed by HETAS-approved installers. Our friendly team is fully qualified, with specialist knowledge in open fire and stove installations and maintenance.

Home Visit

We will arrange a survey at your property to complete a full installation assessment. This service is free of charge.

During the visit, we will assess:
   •    The feasibility of your desired stove location
   •    Chimney, flue, or twin wall system requirements
   •    Roof access (ladders, scaffolding, or cherry picker if required)
   •    Finishing requirements, such as chamber or hearth work
   •    Your preferred installation timescales

We can also liaise with builders and/or designers if required.

Quotation

Following our visit, we will provide a detailed written quotation, which will include:
   •    A full breakdown of the installation
   •    Your chosen appliance specification
   •    A checklist of any work required prior to installation

Scaffolding or specialist access equipment may be required and can be included in the quotation. We adhere to current health and safety guidelines, not only to protect our installers but also to ensure your property is treated with care and to prevent unnecessary damage.

The quotation will be sent to you via email for review. Once we receive your signed Acceptance of Work form along with the initial deposit, we will schedule your installation date.

Most installations take between one and two days, depending on complexity.

Installation Day

On the morning of installation, we will arrive fully equipped to begin work. We would appreciate it if the room could be cleared as much as possible beforehand.

We will protect surfaces and furnishings to keep disruption to a minimum. However, please be aware that removing an old appliance and carrying out any necessary brickwork alterations may produce some dust.

Appliance Servicing and Chimney Sweeping

Regular maintenance of your stove and flue ensures optimal performance, longevity, and safety.

We recommend annual servicing and/or chimney sweeping. Spring or summer is generally the best time to carry this out, ensuring your appliance is ready for use when the colder months arrive.

Heat Output Calculator

As part of your survey, we will calculate the correct heat requirement for your room in kilowatts (kW).

As a general guide, factors such as:
   •    The number of external walls
   •    The size and type of windows (e.g. double glazing)
   •    The age and insulation level of the property

These can all influence the heat output required.
